West Yorkshire Police are celebrating a successful two-week operation in Bradford.
Over 100 arrests were made, along with the seizure of 12 imitation guns, two stun guns, CS gas canisters, 1.3 million pounds of suspected drugs, 130 vehicles and over £290,000 in cash.
Cannabis factories were uncovered including one on Parsonage Road where 60 plants were recovered worth £6000. Another was located in Thorpe Edge.
Bradford District Chief Inspector, Dan Greenwood said: “”Throughout this operation we have focused our efforts on removing the root causes linked to firearms with some significant success.
“This could not have been achieved, however, without the support and co-operation of the genuine and decent members of our local communities.”
He added that they are now encouraging more members of the public to come forward and help the communtiy become a ‘safer place to work and live’.
